# Murano meets La Granja: glassmaking days on 15–17 October

The Real Fábrica de Cristales in La Granja will host three days devoted to glassmaking from 15 to 17 October, combining museum visits, live demonstrations and a tribute to former master craftspeople.

Venetian glassmaker Matteo Tagliapietra is due to work alongside the factory’s own masters on 15 and 16 October. The programme brings the traditions of Murano and La Granja into direct conversation, with activities exploring blown glass, cutting, decoration and lampmaking.

For residents looking beyond the usual monuments, the attraction is seeing an active craft at work. Check the factory’s programme before travelling for individual session times, admission and any booking requirements.
