A new guided visit opens the orchard of San Juan de la Cruz
Segovia Tourism has added a guided visit to the orchard of San Juan de la Cruz, offering a quieter route through the city’s religious and literary heritage. The programme announced on 15 October lists Friday departures at 16:30 until 19 March.
The visit lasts approximately one hour and costs €5. It starts with the convent church and continues into the orchard, including spaces associated with the saint such as the cave and hermitages. The activity forms part of the San Juan de la Cruz jubilee programme.
Bookings close three hours before departure. At the time of the announcement, tickets were available through the visitor reception centre, with online sales expected later. Check the current tourism listing before assuming that online booking is operational or that places remain available for a particular Friday.
For residents who know Segovia’s busiest monuments, this is an opportunity to give a less hurried setting some attention. Wear footwear suited to an outdoor visit and ask the organiser about terrain and accessibility if those details affect your plans. The published description does not establish that every part of the route is step-free.
