Environmental restoration has been completed along sections of the Riaza and Duratón rivers as part of the provincial Hoces de Segovia sustainable-tourism programme.

The work aims to recover river habitats and improve the landscape while supporting tourism compatible with conservation. Along approximately 1.8 kilometres of the Riaza, teams removed dead vegetation and rubbish before planting riverside species.

For people exploring the province, the news is about looking after the landscapes that make these places worth visiting. It is not an announcement that every trail is open or that protected-area access rules have changed.
